How do I request a service?

Download the FieldWorks app, create an account, and add your property address. Browse available service providers in your area, select one, choose the services you need, add photos if helpful, and submit your request. You'll receive a quote from the provider that you can accept, reject, or request changes to—no commitment required.

How do I pay for services?

After accepting a quote, you can pay securely in the app using Apple Pay or a credit/debit card. Depending on the provider's payment policy, you may pay a deposit upfront, the full amount upfront, or after the job is completed. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Once your job is scheduled, you can view its status in the app at any time. You'll see when the job starts, receive progress updates, and view before/during/after photos uploaded by the workers. You'll also receive push notifications for status changes.

Currently, FieldWorks is available on iOS (iPhone) with Android support coming soon. Both customers and workers use the same app but see different screens based on their role. Admins manage their business through the web portal at admin.fieldworksplatform.app.

Yes! FieldWorks fully supports both English and Spanish. You can change your language preference in your profile settings, and all app screens, notifications, and emails will appear in your selected language.

What can workers see in the app?

Workers can view their assigned jobs with customer address, job instructions, and any photos the customer submitted. They can update job status (start, pause, complete), upload before/during/after photos, and add notes for admins. For privacy, workers cannot see pricing, payment status, or customer payment information.

FieldWorks is completely free to sign up and use—no monthly fees, no lead fees. We only charge a 10% platform fee when you complete a job AND get paid. Pilot partners receive a reduced 5% rate for their first 90 days. Compare that to lead-generation platforms that charge $15-$100+ per lead whether you get hired or not.

How do I get paid?

FieldWorks uses Stripe Connect to send payments directly to your bank account. During signup, you'll connect your Stripe account in about 5 minutes. When a customer pays through the app, you receive 90% (or 95% for pilot partners) directly to your account after Stripe processing.

How do I onboard my team?

From your admin dashboard, go to the Team page and invite team members via email. Workers receive a link to download the mobile app and create their account. They'll automatically be added to your organization and can start receiving job assignments. Workers can view assigned jobs, update status, and upload photos—but they cannot see pricing or payment information.

How do I create and send quotes?

From any incoming request, click 'Create Quote' to open the quote builder. Line items are automatically added based on the services the customer requested, or you can add from your service templates or create custom items. Set the schedule dates, choose a payment policy (deposit required, full upfront, or pay after completion), add tax, and include a message to the customer. Click 'Send Quote' and the customer will be notified instantly.

How do I manage jobs and assign workers?

After a customer accepts a quote, a job is automatically created. From the job detail page, you can assign one or more workers from your team, adjust the schedule if needed, and track progress. Workers receive push notifications when assigned and can update the job status from their mobile app.

Can I issue refunds?

Yes. From the Payments page, you can issue full or partial refunds on completed payments. You can also configure whether deposits are refundable in your organization settings. Refunds are processed through Stripe and the customer is notified automatically.
