Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about requesting service, running a provider account, payments, and mobile access.

What is FieldWorks?

FieldWorks is a local-services workflow for customers and service providers. Customers request work, review quotes, message providers, and track jobs in the app. When online payments are enabled for their provider, they can also pay through its secure hosted checkout. Providers manage requests, quotes, scheduling, crews, and payment without paying for leads upfront.

How do I request a service?

Download the FieldWorks app, create an account, and add your property address. Browse available service providers in your area, select one, choose the services you need, add photos if helpful, and submit your request. You'll receive a quote from the provider that you can accept, reject, or request changes to—no commitment required.

How do I pay for services?

When online payments are enabled for the provider, accepting a quote can open its secure hosted checkout with the eligible methods offered for that transaction. Depending on the provider's policy, you may pay a deposit, the full amount upfront, or after completion.

What does FieldWorks cost for providers?

FieldWorks has no monthly subscription or lead fees. We keep the standard 10% of each successful online payment made through FieldWorks. An organization pays 5% only while an approved promotion granted through a qualifying referral, founder-led pilot, or other manual approval is active. Creating a company does not automatically qualify it. Square processing fees are separate.

How do I get paid?

Each organization opts in by connecting its own eligible Square seller account and payment location. Customer proceeds go to that seller account while FieldWorks receives its separate platform fee. Once Square verification, bank setup, and card-processing readiness are complete, no separate FieldWorks rollout approval is required.

Is the FieldWorks app available on Android?

FieldWorks is currently available on iPhone, with Android support planned. Customers and workers use the same mobile app, while business admins manage operations in the web portal.
